Ubisoft has canceled development of Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartland
Ubisoft announced the cancellation of Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartland. It was a new opus for the franchise, which would focus on a purely multiplayer action and survival aspect.
In this way, the project Red Storm Entertainment will not see the light. The latest financial report of the French comp any reflected this, because according to them it is an optimization of their efforts and an adaptation to the current market trend.
This optimization ruled out Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartland, but it strengthened other corporate titles. Indeed, the resources that were going to be allocated to the project will now focus on more important games like Xdefiant or Rainbow Six.
The free-to-play proposition of The Division franchise would be released on Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. However, now we can stop waiting for this work, because in the end we will not be able to enjoy it.
