There is no doubt that current Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa has always been very private when it comes to video games. We know that he prefers to focus on the management of the company. However, on the Kit and Krysta podcast, the former Nintendo employee, Krysta Yangshared a story about his first meeting with Furukawa, revealing his appreciation for the Fire Emblem franchise.
It seems that Furukawa mentioned that is a big fan of Fire Emblem
Statements from former Nintendo member, Krysta Yang
“At the time, he told us that he was a big Fire Emblem fan and that he liked playing Fire Emblem and he said, ‘I’m a big fan, I’ve been playing Fire Emblem, but then I got to the end of Fire Emblem and I saw that the credits were advancing. And I got to the end and it was like, Executive Producer: Furukawa.’ And he added: ‘That was a cold, hard reality that meant I had to get back to work.’”
Remember that Furukawa has been very present after the announcement of Nintendo Switch 2 and a Direct in June, which came to us along with updated sales data for Switch and its games. Along with that, we offered you the updated release schedule.
The president also shared the first details of the console and described it as a “model.” Now it is curious to know something more about his personal side. What do you think?
