The season of big announcements is approaching, and to make sure you don’t miss a thing, here’s a Summer Game Fest 2024 conference schedule with confirmed and expected dates, times, and games.
E3 is dead, long live Summer Game Fest. Historically, the American living room has been the scene of announcements, each one more grandiose than the last. The proceedings last several days and are like sleepless nights for us Europeans. With COVID-19 and the democratization of digital conferences, it ultimately failed to adapt and officially threw in the towel. Here comes its great replacement: Summer Game Fest 2024, the new must-attend event this summer. Major conferences from major players in the industry, eagerly awaited announcements, surprises, the return of games that had disappeared from the radar… this year should be particularly busy, even if there are fewer conferences on the program. Here is the full schedule for Summer Game Fest 2024 with all the events announced so far.
When is Summer Game Fest 2024?
Geoff Keighley and his Summer Game Fest will be in charge again this year. The new summer meeting will return this year with an edition that should be similar to its predecessors. Conferences from major publishers, new games, others whose existence we had almost forgotten after all these years without news, world premieres galore, gameplay and of course surprises of all kinds. The promises are still big this year, even if the full program has obviously not been fully revealed yet.
Everyone is waiting with bated breath to see whether or not Sony will reopen the ball this year with its PlayStation Showcase. Whatever happens, the publisher should be present at this summer’s must-attend conference, where hostilities will officially begin. The launch party of The Summer Game Fest 2024 is scheduled for June 7th at 11pm.French time, with a show that should still contain some important and surprising announcements. Then the celebrations will continue for a whole week with several conferences, presentations and other showcases. The good news is that you won’t have to spend many sleepless nights following the main events this year.

The following list is of course not exhaustive. More events could be added as the weeks go by, including Nintendo, which will hold its annual Direct in the summer. So don’t hesitate to visit the article regularly and add it to your favorites. We will update it as soon as a new Summer Game Fest 2024 conference is confirmed.
Conferences you shouldn’t miss and what to expect?
As it stands, there will be even fewer conferences this year. The big players in the industry who don’t have their own event will therefore use Summer Game Fest to present their biggest upcoming games. Some will undoubtedly go to the Xbox Games Showcase or during the famous PlayStation and Nintendo Directors, whose announcements are still pending. For those who only want to see the essential sessions, here is our selection, based of course only on what has been officially announced at the time of writing these lines.
Summer Game Fest 2024 – June 7th at 11pm
This is obviously THE event not to be missed this summer. The Summer Game Fest 2024 conference will kick off in earnest and with great fanfare. More than 50 publishers and studios will be there this year, with real world premieres, games that have disappeared from the radar and undoubtedly a ton of new announcements and surprises. So far, only two games are really confirmed. RPG lovers can learn more about Metaphor ReFantazio, the new license from some of the minds that gave life to Persona 5 and its predecessors. Warner Bros. will try to restore its image after the failure of Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League with Batman Arkham Shadow. A VR game that will therefore take place in the Arkham-verse but will be exclusive to Meta Quest 3.
Dragon Age 4 (Dreadwolf) will be officially unveiled this summer, according to the latest news. Unless EA decides to hold its own event, BioWare’s next game should be there. 2K, for its part, has confirmed that one of its favorite licenses will return this summer. Borderlands 4 or Mafia 4? Rumor has it it’s the second option. Bandai will also undoubtedly be there to finally reveal the release date of Dragon Ball Sparking Zero and give us news about Little Nightmares 3.
Devolver Direct – June 8th at 2am
If you’re the night owl type, we recommend staying up after SGF 2024 to watch the Devolver Digital Showcase. Otherwise, the next day in the replay works just as well. The independent game publisher delights us every year with its completely crazy presentation, always the craziest of all. We imagine that Devolver has turned all the knobs to the maximum to celebrate its fifteenth anniversary as it should. The publisher promises “stormy new announcements, carefully thought-out release dates and surprises that can revolutionize the small world of gaming (once again).” A release date should finally be set for the very promising “The Plucky Squire”, during which we should learn more about “The Crush House”, the crazy reality TV game. We imagine that for the occasion you are already dreaming of Hotline Miami 3. Maybe this year is the right one?
Wholesome Direct – June 8th at 6pm
In the midst of all this violence, a little bit of gentleness. The Wholesom Direct is something of a well-deserved respite showcasing indie games that are full of good vibes, sweet and chill as hell. Few details are available at the moment as registration for the conference only recently closed. But who knows? Maybe your next crush will be there?
Future Games Show – June 8th at 9pm
For those who don’t just have their eyes on the next blockbusters, the GamesRadar+ site is once again offering a conference that gives a voice to lesser-known developers. AA productions and independent games will once again be in the spotlight. Previous editions have had some prestigious guests, so it’s possible that the festivities will be complemented by some surprises, but there will never be anything as grandiose as the evening of Summer Game Fest. For this Future Games Show Summer 2024, Roger Clark (Arthur from Red Dead Redemption 2) and Britt Baron (Tifa, FF7 Rebirth) will be present at the presentation.
Xbox Showcase + Call of Duty Black Ops 6 – June 9th at 7pm
This is one of the unmissable highlights of this Summer Game Fest 2024. The Xbox Games Showcase returns this summer and with its first edition since the historic acquisition of Activision-Blizzard, Microsoft wants to hit hard. The Redmond company will present the next games developed by its studios, with expected release dates for Indiana Jones and the Elder Circle and Avowed. We can also expect news of titles already announced such as Contreband, South of Midnight, Fable 4, State of Decay 3 or Perfect Dark, as well as a return of Doom if we trust the rumors. This year, the Xbox Game Pass should once again benefit from great promotion thanks to a handful of third-party publishers who should make an appearance. The only certainty for now is that Call of Duty Black Ops 6 will be put in the spotlight with a special showcase right after the conference.
PC Gaming Show – June 9th at 10pm
It has become an annual gathering for the bravest PC gamers. Anyone who can handle more than an hour of “creechiness” and lame jokes will no doubt sit back and watch the PC Gaming Show. This 2024 edition will be special as the event celebrates its tenth anniversary. The conference should also get a little used to surprises. Again, few details are available at the time of writing, but a few headlines are likely to be announced as the conference draws closer.
Ubisoft Forward – June 10 (date not announced)
This will be the last major conference of this Summer Game Fest before Gamescom 2024. Ubisoft will highlight its upcoming productions while presenting new updates on these games already released. XDefiant, Rainbow Six and The Crew Motorsport should reveal their future content. Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be one of the stars of the evening and we can well imagine that Star Wars Outlaws, expected on August 30, will keep it company. However, the conference could have some surprises in store. Well, we’ll stop hurting ourselves and we’ll stop mentioning the Arlesian Beyond Good & Evil 2. Perhaps Splinter Cell Remake will make a brief appearance, just like Prince of Persia Remake, which would have advanced well internally… See you on June 10 to find out for sure.
