What would Half-Life 3 look like? We’ll probably never know, because back in 2020, Valve explained why the legendary game never came out.
But what would happen, just hypothetically, if Valve had a third part in the pipeline? What could the trailer look like?
What could a possible trailer look like?
The 3D artist Unknown Dino asks this question on X (formerly Twitter) and immediately provides the corresponding answer.

Because what the artist, whose real name is Donald Çela, has created on his Youtube-Kanal Unknown Dino uploaded is sure to make the hearts of Half-Life fans beat faster. Because Donald’s trailer demonstrates what a successor to Half-Life 2 could look like.
The trailer showcases the world of the alien species Combine. Using fast tracking shots and wide-angle shots, it shows how the alien species prepares to take control of the Earth again.
Fans of the series will recognize old acquaintances from the games. During the tracking shot at the beginning of the trailer, the iconic headcraps can be seen, and a little later Strider staggers through the picture on her three oversized legs.
Half-Life hero Gordon Freeman also plays a role in the trailer. But see for yourself:

Given that it is a pure fan project, the trailer is produced in impressive quality. Donald Çela, aka Unknown Dino, manages to tell a little story in the three-minute film – visually and aurally.
There is currently no information on whether further projects in this regard can be expected from the 3D artist. On Twitter, at least, Unknown Dino announced that he would be taking a break for now and perhaps returning to the topic later. How do you like his trailer?
