Publisher Ysbryd Games revealed Love is eternala surreal 2D platformer where you bend gravity to your will to overcome increasingly difficult challenges.
The game, developed by brlka, is currently planned for release on the Nintendo Switch in 2025, so we have to wait a bit for this. It should be worth it though; judging by the trailer, it definitely seems to be channeling some of that precise, challenging platforming gameplay made popular by games like Celeste. It looks great.
We will keep an eye on this in the coming months. We love a good challenge here at Nintendo Life, and using gravity to get in and out of obstacles sounds wonderfully tricky. In the meantime, let’s take a look at the premise of the game courtesy of Ysbryd Games:
Teenagers have a lot to deal with, but Maya has more reason to fuel her anger than her peers. Between being estranged from her family, a recent fight with her friend Lacey, and her recent abduction by an ancient god, Maya has a terrifying journey ahead of her. Traverse the god’s terrarium, manipulate gravity through a castle full of puzzles, chase and confront her captor, and escape this lonely fate.
Bend gravity to Maya’s will, boosting her agility to leap through challenging chambers throughout the castle’s maze. Quickly leap over gaping chasms, deadly spikes, blazing lasers and more with precise springs and spins in a precision platforming experience. Beware of God’s watchful eye, so that reality does not move under your feet.
Move through eerie and atmospheric Iron Age landscapes, from castle ruins to deep sea caves to the dark reflection of Maya’s own home, listening to the haunting tones echoing through time-worn structures. Face unusual encounters with Maya’s family, Lacey and other wandering inmates to discover the god’s true motives.
Hopefully we’ll get more news on the game’s release date soon.
