Epic Games has launched a new release label that has been signed with three top creators.
Epic Games announced today that it will enter the game publishing space in a major way. under Epic Game Publishing On the label, the company promises a "developers-first" approach.
Epic has reached deals with Alan Wake and Control developer Remedy, Inside maker Playdead and The Last Guardian's Gen Design. Through this new partnership, Epic will release games from these studios on multiple platforms.
Developers will retain ownership of their intellectual property and full creative control. Epic will fund all development costs and other expenses, such as marketing and publishing. Once the development costs are recovered, the game maker will get all profits 50/50.
Epic says these terms are the most developer-friendly in the industry and promises to announce more partnerships in the coming months.
