Dragon Age: The Veilguard is still on the rise and the information is pouring in. A new article from our colleagues at Game Informer is all about equipment and transmogrification and it all sounds pretty good.
We don’t yet know exactly when Dragon Age: The Veilguard will be rele ased, we only know that we still liked the working title Dreadwolf better. However, we do like what our colleagues from Game Informer
This time it’s all about the equipment system and it seems to be extensive, as is the character editor for the main character Rook. You can equip Rook with armor, a helmet, two weapons, a belt, an amulet and two rings. And your companions can also be individually equipped, even if they have fewer slots (armor, a ring, a weapon and an accessory). The belt is supposed to play a special role for Rook, as it influences the effectiveness of healing potions and can also bring additional effects later on.
In the editor, you can already get a first look at what Rook can look like with later outfits – so you can visually coordinate his appearance and equipment. In addition, many pieces of equipment are specifically tailored to Rook or certain companions. For example, armor that was designed for the companion Bellara Lutara cannot be used for another companion such as Lace Harding. Loot will therefore apparently be a big topic in the new Bioware epic.
There will also be a transmog system in the game, meaning you can change the look of equipment without affecting its stats. You can also simply transfer your favorite look to better pieces and don’t have to walk around in armor that you don’t like visually. This doesn’t just apply to Rook’s equipment, but also to that of his companions. The fashionistas among you will have plenty to do with visual adjustments.
