A quick glance is often enough to form a first impression. Alkahest, a new action game, seems like a mix of the close combat chaos of Dying Light and the dark fantasy world of The Witcher. Super appealing, but…
Also included: The next portion of binge watching for anime fans who are not afraid of live-action films and a building game add-on that could easily pass as a sequel. Enjoy our trailers of the week!
In the meantime, here are a few recommendations from the current Steam Summer Sale:
Platz 3: One Piece

One Piece: Watch the official start of production for season 2 on Netflix
Not all anime fans can relate to live-action adaptations of their beloved brands. However, if you enjoyed the first season of One Piece on Netflix, you can look forward to more soon.
And the trailer seems to be exactly this Dispelling live-action skepticism to want, because the actors leave a somewhat more personal impression.
Season 2 of One Piece does not yet have an official streaming date on Netflix. We expect the release to be in late 2024 or early 2025.
2nd place: Alkahest
2:30
Visually powerful fantasy action Alkahest looks bombastic and immediately raises doubts
Can this be true? A neat, detailed and fluid action game from a small, unknown developer studio from Cyprus that has no previous experience. In the trailer for Alkahest we see scenes in the engine, but perhaps little to no gameplay.
So skepticism is certainly appropriate, but that’s all. As soon as the first, bare gameplay scenes are shown, we will hopefully have a better idea of what the mixture of The Witcher and Dying Light can really achieve with its close combat in interactive fantasy environments.
Platz 1: Factorio Space Age
1:26
Gigantic addon Factorio: Space Age breaks boundaries
Factorio is one of the most beloved indies on Steam and has received 97 percent approval from around 150,000 reviews. A successor would have been long overdue. But Wube Software prefers to distribute a free 2.0 update and release Space Age, a DLC that puts many full-price games in the shade. How? Read here:
Speaking of full price: Factorio Space Age will cost the same as the main game, namely 32 dollars. So it’s basically a half-price add-on for a half-price game. That will end up being something like a full-price game, right?
Are you looking forward to Factorio 2.0 and Space Age? What do you think of Alkahest? Or do you think the author should urgently rethink his sense of humor? Write it in the comments! We always like to read what you’re up to.
