If you are an anime fan, you surely know Solo Leveling, a series that had great success in its first season; the second is just around the corner.
One of the great successes of recent years
Among the most impressive but also recent successes of Asian pop culture, Solo Leveling occupies a special place. Basically, it is a web novel series signed by Chuchong, which aired from 2016 to 2018 before being adapted into a webtoon by Dubu from 2018 to 2021. A pure product of South Korea, in which Sung Jinwoo, a hunter with supernatural abilities, is selected by the system: He then gains the ability to transform any defeated creature into a shadow, a loyal servant and companion.
He then goes into countless dungeons to fight against a multitude of extremely intimidating opponents, also with the aim of discovering the source of his powers: a gripping story, spectacular fights and catchy characters are therefore on the agenda. this somewhat addictive story, consisting of 14 volumes.
From novel to cartoon
As expected, Solo Leveling was also adapted into an animated series a first season from the famous studio A-1 Pictures, broadcast in January 2024. Here too, it was a great success, and although it was not long ago, a whole El Dorado is opening up for the company: one cannot fail to highlight, for example, the existence of the video game Solo Leveling: Arise, released in May 2024.
Season 2 of the anime in particular is already attracting a lot of interest: The trailer has just been released and can also be viewed in our video player at the beginning of the article. So we will see Jinwoo face numerous enemies and the trailer also allows us to take a look at some particularly difficult fights.
This new season will air on Crunchyroll, but we are still waiting for a specific release date. By the way, we would like to point out that a sequel called Solo Leveling Raganarok will be published as web novels from 2023.
