The developers of massive Fallout 4 mod Fallout: London have confirmed that their creation has returned to them and is “no longer owned by GOG,” but they’re urging potential players not to get too excited.
Team FOLON previously revealed that the mod had been sent to distribution PC stores for final QA testing, and GOG also recently confirmed to us that the mod would not be compatible with Fallout 4 purchased from the Epic Games Store at launch.

Now, the team has confirmed the mod’s return via the Fallout: London Discord server, but has warned that this doesn’t mean fans should get overly excited about the upcoming mod, as there are still some things that need to be ironed out before then.
After the bots set up by Team FOLON on the server began to reply to fans,[Green light has] GOG handed it over to us. Now the project is back in our hands and entering the final stages,” said project lead Dean ‘Prilladog’ Carter, providing some important context on the current situation.
“This doesn’t mean it’s over today (and tomorrow isn’t going to be good either),” he wrote. “It just means it’s back in our hands and no longer GOG’s. Because all we need to do is [are] We’ve got it done on our end. You won’t have to wait long. But, since the last time I gave anything approaching a specific date, it’s been the same as it was with the Hindenburg. I won’t be making any further comments.”
He then added: “I will also reiterate that we have not yet released a full Discord announcement because the situation has not changed – you don’t have it yet. Please don’t get too excited, reporters, you don’t need to report our automated bot news. When we finalize things, the announcement will be made through the official [Team FOLON] account. Please wait, it’s coming soon™”.
So while this is a noteworthy update on the state of mods, and therefore something we’ve chosen to report on, if you’re really looking forward to playing Fallout: London, it’s worth listening to Carter and not getting too excited. Just be patient and wait for the modders to finish everything they need to do, so that they can make an official announcement that the official release is nigh.
Maybe you could listen to the trailer of the robot voiced by former UK House of Commons Speaker John Bercow on loop to help you while away the time; after all, the way he bellows “Order!” will never get old.
