News culture This star of the Netflix series “The Bridgerton Chronicles” accompanies Brad Pitt in his next $300 million film: He doesn’t skimp on the means
Maybe you’ve seen the trailer for F1, Brad Pitt’s next film about… Formula 1. Starring alongside him is Simone Ashley, straight from Netflix.
F1 justifies the means
It is one of the most popular films currently: “F1” tells the story of Sonny Hayes, the former driver and Formula 1 champion, played by Brad Pitt, who will return to duty to assist the young driver Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris)). The latter, who is in trouble within his team, is therefore disguised as an exceptional driver: The first trailer sets the tone and promises a furious and particularly well-filmed experience.
There is a reason for this: F1 is directed by Joseph Kosinski, who is none other than the filmmaker behind the excellent Top Gun Maverick. After proving his flair for staging and authenticity alongside Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt will be the next star he will collaborate with to recreate the sensations of a Formula 1 race in the best possible way (even if it is not real F1 cars that will be used…).
A big casting in pole position
F1 will undoubtedly be a blockbuster: its budget is around 300 million dollars and, in addition, we should remember that it is a film produced by Apple TV+, which therefore does not shy away from using large resources to reinforce its fame. We therefore count Brad Pitt and Joshua Pearce among the headliners, but also the famous Javier Bardem (No Country for Old Men, Skyfall)Kerry Condon (Avengers, Les Banshees d’Inisherin), Tobias Menzies (The Crown, Outlander), Sarah Niles (Ted Lasso, I May Destroy You) or again Will Merrick (Skins, About Time).
Simone Ashley will also be therea 29-year-old English actress who has definitely been in fashion sinceShe is one of the main faces of The Bridgerton Chroniclesa successful British series from Netflix. Always on the same platform, Ashley is also in the cast of Sex Education. His arrival completes an already impressive group of actors and actresses.
F1 will be released in cinemas on June 25, 2025, just under a year from now. And even if speed remains the buzzword, we still have time to see it coming.
