We talked about the next generation of processors for desktop computers AMDTHE Ryzen 9000which should arrive shortly. So much so that leaks in its environment continue to occur, and it is now an online store in France that has mistakenly published the price of some of the processors, precisely the most anticipated ones. We tell you.
This is not the first time and it will not be the last. Online stores usually receive the products and recommended retail prices well before their official launch, because this is the only way for the product to be available when it is officially launched. But of course, if the store wants to move forward with the work by adding the products to its catalog and does not pay attention, these will be published and the information will be available to everyone, which is precisely what is happening now.
This is the price of the AMD Ryzen 9000 in Europe
In addition, in this case, it is an online store in France that has leaked the price of the new AMD processors, which means that the price is in dollars and taxes included, so it is a fairly reliable figure of what they will cost. us. to us in Europe. Specifically, it is the online store pc21.fr that has leaked the price of the AMD Ryzen 5 9600X, Ryzen 7 9700X and Ryzen 9 9900X.
The prices displayed would be as follows:
- AMD Ryzen 5 9600X by 350.60$.
- AMD Ryzen 7 9700X by 454.13$.
- AMD Ryzen 9 9900X by 567.42$.
These are of course prices excluding taxes, and as you can see in the screenshot above, if taxes are included, the price increases a bit. In France they have a VAT of 20%, while in Europe it is 21%, so the prices in Europe would be like this:
- AMD Ryzen 5 9600X by 424.22$.
- AMD Ryzen 7 9700X by 549.49$.
- AMD Ryzen 9 9900X by 686.58$.
It is very likely that once presented we will have more rounded official prices, surely $ 429 for the Ryzen 5 7600X, $ 549 for the Ryzen 7 9700X and $ 689 for the Ryzen 9 9900X, although obviously we will not know for sure until AMD does not make the official announcement. In addition, it must be taken into account that this is not the first time that the prices of these processors have been leaked, since for example the American store DealTarget already leaked them a few days ago, with the prices in dollars, and the truth is that they are quite similar to these now.
So are they expensive or cheap?
Well, we all know that the price of PC hardware has increased a lot in recent years, and if in the past, with 1200 $ you could build a pretty “cucumber” gaming PC, today, with that money, you can barely build a PC to play in 1080p decently, but that’s pretty far from the concept we all have of a “cucumber PC”.
So, to be able to tell if they are expensive or cheap, the best we can do is simply compare it with the prices of the current generation of processors; Right now, you can buy a Ryzen 5 7600X for $216 (yes, it’s on sale) while a Ryzen 7 7800X3D costs around $400. On the other hand, the 7900X3D is also on sale right now and costs around $441.
Therefore, and taking into account that in the case of the 7800 and 7900 these are the X3D models, it seems to us that the new generation of AMD processors is quite expensive to start with, although this is obviously our personal opinion.
