WhatsApp is the most extensive and popular Messenger in the world. The service regularly receives new features through updates, but other Messengers sometimes offer more features. There are many WhatsApp mods and unauthorized application versions circulating on the Internet. Most importantly, these should provide users with more choices to benefit Messenger.

It sounded great at first and was commendable. However, you should never install these applications for two good reasons. Since the source code for the extended and alternative versions is not available, it is impossible to determine what will happen to the data. In the worst case, embarrassing news or pictures will eventually be attracted to strangers, and no one wants to.

The code of conduct for using Messenger is also extensive. If you violate this rule, WhatsApp will block your account. It also means that you can only use the official WhatsApp version from the app store. WhatsApp wrote in its FAQ:

"WhatsApp Plus, GB WhatsApp and other unsupported applications or applications that claim to move WhatsApp chat features between phones are modified versions of WhatsApp. These unofficial applications were developed by third parties in violation of our terms of use. WhatsApp does not support these third-party applications because we cannot view their security programs.

Also it says:

"If you receive an in-app message stating that your account is "temporarily blocked", it may be that you are using an unsupported version of WhatsApp instead of the official WhatsApp app. If you do not switch to the official app after your account has been temporarily banned, your account may still be permanently banned by WhatsApp."

By using third-party applications or extensions, your WhatsApp account may be permanently blocked. You will then need a new phone number to continue using the service. We recommend that you use only the official version-stay away from unauthorized versions.
