Sony is currently conducting several closed-circuit tests for the new PS5 update as well as a brand new PlayStation Store feature. < /p>
While Sony Interactive Entertainment approves the beta testing of the next major PS5 update, the PlayStation Store is discreetly getting a facelift. The manufacturer took inspiration from Steam and other online stores to establish a rating system. If you go to a specific game sheet, you can see an average of / 5 represented by stars. So any user can rate a title, but fortunately there is a protection measure to avoid childish review bombardment. Only those who have purchased, downloaded or added a software to their library.
The new PlayStation Store system is still under development
The PlayStation Store now benefits from a rating system. A good idea to avoid the worst moves in the game, but it still needs to be refined. For example, it would be good if people who have only played for 10, 30 minutes or 1 hour could not give a categorical opinion. Except, of course, in the case of an industrial accident with extremely faulty production from the first minutes, which is very rare. We will see the evolution at this level, but Sony is already secretly making changes to this functionality of the PlayStation Store. A big news has already been revealed in advance.
According to Reddit user cusman78, the Japanese company is sending certain PS5 and PS4 players a link to “write a review” from the PlayStation website. A double caveat that shows that this is indeed a closed-loop testing phase. Like Steam, the PlayStation Store will eventually allow players to leave detailed and reasoned opinions on the title of their choice in addition to the star rating. But it goes even further.
To leave a full review on PlayStation Store, you must check the box “I accept the terms and conditions” to control any possible transgressions. Just above, you can select “The review contains spoilers” to warn the user about spoilers. If it works well, no one should have any problems viewing these reviews. Currently, provision is not universal and is only available for a few games, such as Helldivers 2.
