This may have happened to you before: you are looking for apps for your Android mobile and you buy an app by mistake. In these types of situations, it is worth remembering that Google can refund some purchases according to its refund policy, so it is likely that the company will refund our money.
As the company explains on its support page, we can request a refund if less than 48 hours have passed since we bought an app or paid for a purchase in the application. Once requested, we will have to wait for Google to confirm its decision, which it usually does within one business day (in some cases it can take up to four).
Checking the status of a refund request is easy
Although it is a fairly quick process, it is likely that the money will take a little longer to reach your bank account if the company authorizes the refund. This is something that depends on the banking entity, so Estimated time to receive refund may vary.
If you are unsure about the status of your refund request, the company has a tool to check if the refund has been authorized. To check it, just access the tool we are talking about, available in the Google help center.
Once there, Google will ask us to confirm our account
As you may have seen, this is an easy way to check if the company has authorized the requested refund. If you have not requested any refund, the platform will tell us that there are no refunds associated with the account.
If, while using this tool, you have found that Google has already authorized the refund (it appears with the status “Refunded”) and you have not yet received it, it is important to keep in mind that Refund times may vary depending on the payment method used. In addition, we must remember that the company will make the refund through the same payment method used for the initial purchase.
At this point you are probably wondering What to do if you need to request a refund. The process is just as simple: just access the refund request tool and confirm our account. Then, the tool will show us the purchases we have made and we will have to select the one we made by mistake.
