Do you want to play Goat Simulator 3 on the go? I have good news, because it was announced during today’s Nintendo Direct that the comedy simulation game is coming to Switch.
As always, you didn’t miss out on Goat Simulator 2 because 3 is actually 2, because there is no 2. Pretty simple, right? Not really, but it is, and the game is finally coming to Nintendo Switch digitally later today, as confirmed during today’s Nintendo Direct. No exact timeline has been confirmed yet, so if you’re desperate to cause mayhem as a goat and other animals in a game that’s not quite a simulation, you’ll just have to keep your eyes peeled. For those who prefer a physical copy, you’ll be able to pick it up sometime in November, though again, an exact release date hasn’t been confirmed.
Goat Simulator 3 has been a few years in the making, with a release date of 2022 at the earliest for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, iOS, and Android. I’m not sure why it’s taken so long to come out on Switch, especially considering it’s already been released on mobile, but as they say, better late than never. Much like its predecessor, you can still headbutt, lick, and explore everything in the game’s setting. There are character customization options, including lots of different outfits, and you can play online or in couch co-op, which is always a plus.

In fact, developer Coffee Stain announced last week during the Gamescom Opening Night Live that they would be remaking the original 2014 Goat Simulator, an announcement that came shortly after the release of Goat Simulator 3’s “Multiverse Nonsense” DLC (which wasn’t mentioned in the Direct, in case you were wondering). The remake doesn’t have a firm release date, but it’s said to be coming sometime in 2024.
