Now that Borderlands 4 has finally been announced, Gearbox is offering a ton of free content from previous games in the franchise to help tide Vault Hunters over.
To celebrate the announcement of Borderlands 4 at Gamescom 2024, Gearbox enlisted the help of the community to unlock a veritable flood of loot from previous games. This didn’t take long, and now code is available to retrieve literally a ton of content.
Loot shower to celebrate the upcoming release of Borderlands 4
During PAX West, Gearbox president Randy Pitchford sent out a message with a mysterious riddle for fans of the famous looter-shooter license to solve. Many initially thought this was a way to know exactly the release date of Borderlands 4, which is expected sometime in 2025. This ultimately wasn’t the case, but the reward was clearly worth the effort nonetheless.
@40_BaySt managed to get on Randy Pitchford to congratulate the fan and clarified that the said code is the most profitable ever shared by Gearbox. With it, you can get 50 Gold Keys and 10 Diamond Keys. These keys can be used to get a generous amount of loot via the aforementioned chests for all previous installments as determined by the Gearbox boss while waiting for Borderlands 4. The SHiFT code is as follows: SXFBT- 39953-J33TT-3T333- KSHW6.
Until players have exhausted their keys to its big brothers, Borderlands 4 continues merrily at Gearbox. He was also present at PAX West and notably shared new official images and reassuring information. The studio seems determined to ensure that this sequel lives up to the great expectations after Borderlands 3 and the more RPG-oriented spin-off Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. See you in 2025 to see if Borderlands 4 will mark the return of the famous looter-shooter series in great form.
