Hello everyone! As in the last two ye ars, I have the honor of accompanying the Apple event in the form of our live ticker. The new developments we can expect are summarized in the article below.

What awaits us tonight?
The iPhone 16 comes with a new button
Apple will present the new capture button for the iPhone 16 series tonight, at least if the rumors are to be believed. The new button below the power button is supposed to come to all four models and not just be reserved for the Pro series. We are excited.
Further innovations that will probably be presented to us this evening for the iPhone 16 (Pro):
- The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are said to have an improved main camera with a larger sensor (1/1.14 inch). This will potentially allow for better photos to be taken in low light conditions.
- The ultra-wide-angle camera of the Pro series will now also have a resolution of 48 megapixels (f/2.2) and support the ProRaw Max format.
- The small iPhone 16 Pro will probably get five times the zoom of the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
- The standard series will likely get the action button that was introduced with the iPhone 15 series. The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus also seem to support macro mode.
- The Pro models will enable 4K recording at 120 frames per second. All four models will support the JPEG XL image format for better compression and higher quality.

In addition to the camera improvements, the new A18 chip is being discussedwhich is supposed to have slight performance improvements. The focus here is likely to be on the improved Neural Engine.
The battery technology could also be new. Rumor has it that Apple will use stacked battery technology to achieve higher capacity and a longer lifespan.

Apple Watch 10: The tenth smartwatch generation with small improvements
The Apple Watch turns ten. While a few months ago there was talk of a new design, the new smartwatch is supposed to stay true to its previous look – and yet be different.
- Rumor has it that the Apple Watch 10 will be released in new sizes: instead of 41 and 45 millimeters, the new model will measure 45 and 49 millimeters. If Apple insider Ming-Chi Kuo is right, the larger standard model will be on par with the Apple Watch Ultra.
- The body of the smartwatch is expected to shrink slightly and become thinner overall. However, the crown and side button are expected to remain unchanged.
- A slimmer watch case could also be accompanied by a new magnetic fastening system for the straps.
- The OLED display of smartwatches is said to be more energy efficient, which can lead to potentially longer battery life.
- Logical: The new Apple Watches will most likely be equipped with the new S10 chip.
- The new smartwatches are said to have a new heart rate and ECG sensor. In addition to potentially more accurate measurement data, the detection of sleep apnea is also promised.
A few weeks ago, there was also a rumor that Apple would be launching a new SE model. Instead of aluminum, the manufacturer’s cheaper smartwatch will be made of plastic. Let’s see if there is any news on this today.
Apple Watch Ultra 3 with new color option?
Will there be an Apple Watch Ultra with a black color option this year? The rumor is not new, after all, it is supposed to be released in 2023. Apart from a second color, no groundbreaking innovations are expected for the third generation of the Ultra watch.
If a third generation of the watch comes onto the market, the innovations will most likely be similar to those of the Apple Watch 10.
Or maybe not? Apple expert Mark Gurman assumes that there will be no Apple Watch Ultra 3 – at least not this year. Instead, Apple will add a black color option to the second generation.

Two new AirPods models
How the portal The Verge reported, Apple could introduce two new AirPods models tonight:
- These are therefore an entry-level and a mid-range model of headphones.
- According to the website, both variants will be equipped with a USB-C port and the case will be compatible with the Where Is? network.
- Perhaps Apple will also surprise everyone with an announcement of the AirPods Max including a USB-C port. However, the presentation could also take place later in the year.
Apple Keynote: What we probably won’t see tonight
The iPad Pro event was only a few months ago. We probably won’t see any new iPads in the form of a new standard model or mini offshoots this evening.

The presentation of the iPhone SE 4 is also considered unlikelywhich Apple is rumored to be launching in 2025.
Apple could just as easily postpone the launch of the anniversary smartwatch Apple Watch X until next year. With the Apple Watch X, the manufacturer from Cupertino is expected to present a completely new design and integrate significant improvements into the watch.
Apple is also scheduled to hold a new event at the end of October to unveil the new Macs including the M4 chip. The latest chip debuted in the new iPad Pros, which were introduced in May this year.
