The
"Resident Evil 3" cannot beat "Resident Evil 2" on Steam.
Resident Evil 3 Officially launched worldwide on Friday, its sales on Steam are not bad-even less than "Resident Evil 2".
Last weekend, the number of concurrent players on "Resident Evil 3" on Steam reached 60,293 peaks, far below the 74,227 of "Resident Evil 2". Both figures were achieved at the time of release and have not yet reached the highest level.
On the one hand, Resident Evil 2 is more memorable, so it is very popular among the two, so it makes sense to do better. On the other hand, Steam is currently witnessing unprecedented high player activity, and the current situation may increase Resident Evil 3 sales because so many people stay at home around the world.
There is also the fact that "Resident Evil 3" has a rewarded multiplayer game component in the form of "Resident Evil Resistance", but this does not seem to be enough to convince players to grab the full version of the game when it is released.
