Valorant's closed beta gets its first major update. This was announced by developer Riot on the official Twitter account. In order to apply the patch, the servers are taken offline in the meantime.
On April 15th, we will shutdown the EU servers for 2 hours to fix a few minor bugs and map exploits. We will switch off the queues at 3:30 a.m. and the servers themselves will go offline at around 5 a.m.

You can still queue for matches until April 15, 2020, at 3:30 a.m. The servers are then switched off at 5 a.m. The work should be completed after about two hours so that the servers go live again at 07:00. Concrete patch notes, however, have so far been lacking.
The content of the Valorant update
Riot was quite vague about the issues the patch should fix. The above Map exploits have been an issue since the beta release: Resourceful players quickly discovered ways in which they could leave the map or reach inaccessible places thanks to different agent skills or glitches. You can find out how you should actually use the skills in our hero overview:

Overview: All agents of Valorant
There are numerous videos and instructions on map exploits in various forums. Riot quickly noticed and had most of them locked. Other bugs that players often complained about affect Sound, animations and the in-game shop. Again and again there are messages that the anti-cheat system Vanguard should cause problems with the operating system.
As soon as the specific patch notes are published, we will of course report on them. Then, at the latest, it will become clear whether the problems mentioned have been eliminated.
A detailed thread where players collect bugs they encountered in Valorant can be found here at Reddit. Among them are strange reports like »The camera from Cypher is able to hold a pistol. She shouldn't be able to hold a gun. ”
Giant interest in beta
Thanks to the strategy of distributing beta keys exclusively via Twitch Drops, Riot fueled the hype surrounding Valorant, so that the game reached significantly more viewers than its competitor CS: GO at peak times. The game is still the undisputed leader among Twitch viewers, with one 1,400 percent increase over the past seven days.
However, not everyone is enthusiastic: While many players find the randomness of the drop system unfair, others are concerned about the anti-cheat system, whose kernel driver is active even when their Valorant is not playing.
