After the huge success of the series, there is no question that there will be a new GTA. After the departure of mastermind Dan Houser, however, there seem to be some changes at Rockstar Games, which could also affect the appearance of an upcoming GTA 6.
In any case, it is certain that a new Grand Theft Auto is under development, but apparently still at an early stage. However, the studio is also in the process of revising internal processes and structures, among other things to reduce the notorious Crunch Times and to normalize the working hours that have just been hotly discussed for Red Dead Redemption 2. It is also hoped that Houser's departure will reduce short-term last-minute changes.
These include more flexible working hours in all studios, management and leadership training, anonymous employee surveys and improved internal communication. This should largely avoid the controversy of recent years and improve the working atmosphere in the studio. Some managers in the studios were also exchanged.
All in all, this could lead to the next GTA coming onto the market with a significantly more moderate scope and being extended by updates over a longer period of time, similar to what is already practiced in GTA Online and Red Dead Online. It remains to be seen whether this will actually be the case. After all, according to the sources in Kotaku, the working atmosphere and working conditions at Rockstar seem to have improved significantly, even if you are still at the beginning of the measures and it is a long process.
The complete report with further backgrounds can be found at Kotaku read up, it is definitely worth taking a look behind the scenes.
