Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, this year Gamescom was canceled. Most of the industry had been thinking it would have to be sketched but news came out of its Twitter account recently suggesting it was unnecessary to continue. The club is working on a digital event to take place at the end of August.
The conference took place in Cologne, Germany with over 370,000 attendees last year, Gamescom being considered a key player in the video trading fairs as it is open to pressure and publicity, such as E3.
