As cheating in Call of Duty: War Zone became a hot topic today, a player took an unusual approach to fight it.
Visit official Call of Duty: War Zone Make changes every day and you will find at least some clips that show obvious hacking and cheating.
Although the problem may be smaller than it seems, the continuous appearance of posts makes cheating seem rampant, and certainly does not benefit Warzone ’s reputation.
Reddit user TNGSystems did not post his own clip, but tried to solve the problem from a different perspective: by tracking the source of income of the cheaters. The idea is very simple. Just find and query the official website and Discord server of the person who created the cheated content, and you will inevitably need to pay.
This is usually done through Paypal, and you may have guessed that Paypal does not want its platform to be an intermediary for cheating merchandise. What TNGSystems did was to infiltrate these vulnerabilities, get as much information as possible, and provide all the evidence to Paypal support, these people immediately closed these accounts.
"Google Warzone cheated and found Discords that sent the link. Become a little detective. Composed as feces The gentleman seeks to gain a competitive advantage. Use pseudonyms, fake account names, etc. to register. Talk to the host. Get the Paypal payment link, then go directly to Paypal customer chat. "Reddit users wrote, outlining the process.
This is indeed what they did and achieved great success. When reviewing one of the sources of Warzone cheating, they found that the creator had switched to Cryptocurrency after deleting their Paypal account. Needless to say, converting money to cryptocurrency and sending it online to someone is much more complicated than using simple Paypal.
By doing so, TNGSystems hopes to hurt the real valuable cheaters and prevent many buyers who do not want to get involved in the cryptocurrency world. Reddit users don't even stop there, and have contacted Mastercard and Coinbase to clarify their position and may exclude other cheaters who use their services.
"If we can cut off Paypal, Coinbase and credit cards, then unless the money is sent through the post office, I don't know how they will get paid. This is our most valuable tool to fight cheaters. The power of eavesdropping, haha."
Warzone developer Infinity Ward previously announced that it would ban more than 70,000 cheaters, but did not really disclose how it plans to solve this problem in the long term. We are destined to get updated reporting tools, but when the game is available for free, this may not be enough.
