During the first season of the Netflix series The witcher, based on the Polish fantasy novels by Andrzej Sapkowski, viewers met two antagonistic characters in which it did not go too deep: Cahir and Fringilla. Both will have more importance in the second season of the Show, according to its creator.

He promises that we will know "who they are, why Nilfgaard is important to them and where they will go from there."
Cahir he is a gentleman of the Nilfgaard Empire which is spent throughout the first season trying hunt down Ciri. Fringilla is a magician who is at the service of Cahir. The showrunner affirms that the expansion of the plot context of these two characters is one of his "favorite parts" of the new season.

The second season of The witcher, planned for 2021, began filming in February, but a month later production was halted by the coronavirus pandemic
