Guitar Hero 3 may have been released 13 years ago, but today the world record is still broken.
Just yesterday, a YouTuber named GHAddict published their attempt to break the world record of the iconic and polarized collection of "Guitar Hero 3", "Crossing Fire and Fire." GHAddict played the song on expert difficulty and increased the already amazing speed to a multiple of 165%. You can view the video below.
(Seriously jump to 4:20-seeing GHAddict realize that he is only a few seconds away from breaking the record and shouting "fuck yes")
The agility required to play at this speed is surprising and shows that hitting the button with your right hand (just like a metal guitarist might be on a real guitar) to hit all notes. Bunkers.
"Well, that's a world record," GHADdict said finally. "I want to pee."
This world record is marked as "Speed First", that is, 100% complete, which means that when it is set to "Expert difficulty", this is the fastest speed for anyone to complete the song.
In addition to this latest record, GHAddict is also widely known in the Guitar Hero community for a series of other videos. For example, jump to 3:40 in the clip embedded below and watch him get a 100% response to the dance of the Knot Mag Bug.
If you ’re thinking about using the old Guitar Hero controller yourself while watching these videos, you ’re in luck: he also posted a video that reads “How to modify the Guitar Hero head to make it good and bad.”
In other rhythm game news, Rocksmith recently released the final DLC. If you want more video game metal, check out this article about the significance of DOOM Eternal's soundtrack.
Oh, by the way, have you heard of the madman who defeated Halo 3 on Legendary using the Guitar Hero Controller?
