On Thursday evening, the Tarkov developers released a first image of a new helmet that looks heavily inspired by the Disney series The Mandalorian. If you always wanted to ambush your enemies in a hardcore shooter disguised as an intergalactic warrior, you will have the opportunity to do so in the future – provided that you can also find the helmet.
However, this is no official cooperation with Lucasarts: Although the design is strongly reminiscent of the armor of the warrior race from the Star Wars universe, it is not an exact 1: 1 copy.
Rather, the Russian developers have partnered with the American company Galactec, which specializes in the manufacture of weapons and armor for futuristic cosplays and airsoft games. The helmet has been in the Galactec range for the proud price of $ 325 since 2016 and has also been used in many cosplays:
an injunction against the Tarkov makers on the part of Disney is therefore very unlikely.
Escape from Tarkov has been in development since 2016, but has been particularly popular since this year. Every day thousands of players go hunting and preying in the fictional, Russian city of Tarkov tens of thousands of viewers follow the game on Twitch streams.
As an early access title, the hardcore shooter is still struggling with technical problems such as a drop in performance – Battlestate Games releases regular updates to address the problems.
