Announced at the PlayStation Experience event in December 2016, The Last of Us Part II began development two years earlier, shortly after the remastering of the first installment hit PS4. Its original publication date was scheduled for February 21, 2020, but due to lack of time and wanting to offer the best possible game, it was delayed to May 29, date on which it could not be released due to the Coronavirus crisis, which created logistical problems around the world. Finally, the sequel starring Ellie will be released on June 19
The Last of Us Part II takes five years after what happened in the first installment, where the world became a hostile site. The protagonists, Ellie and Joel, had to fight together to survive on a journey through the United States. Now, a new adventure full of unprecedented emotions is presented.
