Folder page Interview with Julie Chalmette (CEO of Bethesda France, President of SELL, VP of Women in Games)
For this second interview in our dossier, we are interviewing Julie Chalmette, General Manager of Bethesda France, President of SELL and Vice-President of Women in Games. Lots of strings for a bow, needless to say!
Feature: The inspiring women of video games in France
This interview is part of a series. In all, nine interviews are broadcast one by one, each Sunday at 4 p.m. They are added in turn in the file: The inspiring women of video games in France. They were recorded between the end of 2019 and the beginning of 2020.
Defining Julie Chalmette's career in a few words would be complicated. While practicing in the publishing world, she did not seem destined for a career in video games, at first sight. However, working for multimedia companies got him started. After joining Vivendi Games in 2004, she never left the sector. It must be said that she is now an essential figure, especially as President of the Syndicate of Leisure Software Publishers (SELL). In this interview, she discusses her career, but also her general vision of the sector and its evolution, she who is both spectator and actress.
Editor's note: This interview was recorded in December 2019, at the SELL premises in Paris.
