The mysterious PS5 controller debuts.
Although Sony has not officially revealed PS5The main controller, earlier reported that it will look very similar to DualShock 4.
How similar are they? Well, based on a new set of leaked photos: very much. A video game developer's staff posted a series of photos of their PS5 developer kit, which were displayed with the new controller.
The original post was displayed on Reddit as a collage, but we have edited it as a separate photo. Sadly, this is not the look we always wanted, but a devkit focused on the console we saw before.
At first glance, these controllers look very similar, but with some minor differences. The angle of the touchpad is slightly larger, but unfortunately its width is still as wide as on the DualShock 4, leaving very little room for the Options and Share buttons.
Although they do not appear in these images, we do know that the trigger will be larger and there will be no light bar on the back. Sony has also confirmed more behind-the-scenes upgrades, such as haptic feedback.
It's worth noting that the specific design seen here is not necessarily the one Sony eventually adopted. Devkit often comes with early controller prototypes, so this may be just one of them.
