Sea of Thieves is sailing on Steam, displacing Tochlight 3 and Iron Harvest from the wish lists and has a lot of new content in its luggage that should convince you to finally give the pirate adventure a chance.
With the latest update, Lost Treasures, Sea of Thieves doesn’t just make landlubbers curious. Even old fur seals, which have already set sail, that long-awaited desires have finally come true.
What’s in the update?
Bounties: If you want to master a small challenge every day, you now have the chance to get rich through the Daily Bountys. To do this, check your in-game feed every day to see what your daily goal is.
Daily bounties don’t just include hunting other pirates. Occasionally you also have to find a special treasure or a special island. If that’s not enough, you can also take part in weekly events
Story checkpoints: In Sea of Thieves, you can complete twelve longer, story-based quests called Tall Tales, in which you can learn more about individual characters or regions. So far, however, there has been no way to save your progress within the quests.
This is now changing with the newly introduced checkpoints, which automatically save your history at certain points. The long-awaited feature is one of the highlights of the update.
More improvements: In addition, there are a number of other features that should make your pirate life a little easier. In addition to a new armory, which allows you to equip before respawn, there are new graphics settings, tool tips, various bug fixes and much more.

Why Sea of Thieves deserves an upgrade

By the way: If you have already started with your Xbox account with Sea of Thieves, you can easily transfer your progress to Steam (unfortunately, as a Sea of Thives owner, you don’t get the Steam version for free).
