While fans continue to wait for concrete news about the next-generation Snapdragon processor, Qualcomm is doubling its commitment to the flagship space with another 7-series chipset capable of operating like 5G: Snapdragon 750G.
It is expected to appear on devices later this year – so far only Xiaomi is committed to producing the phone it uses – 750G will support 120Hz upgrade, 4K HDR recording and playback, up to 12GB. of RAM.
5G is powered by the X52 modem, with support for both mmWave and Sub-6 GHz waves. And if you will forgive the next jargon attack, it also supports both SA and NSA, TDD, FDD, DSS
Like the 765G and 768G before it, the 750G prioritizes gaming features in addition to its 5G support. The company is experiencing a 20% improvement in CPU performance and 10% GPU performance compared to the Snapdragon 730G.
There is also a 20% increase in machine performance – which is especially important as smartphone makers continue to press AI features on cameras and beyond.
Prices for 750G phones are expected to vary, but we know that Xiaomi next device – a member of the Mi 10 family, and possibly the Mi 10T to be launched on September 30 – will cost between 200 and 300 dollars.

So far, the 5G 7 chip series have proved to be a hit with Qualcomm, with various devices such as the next-generation LG and OnePlus Nord inexpensive One using the Snapdragon 765G. The company says 140 devices have been released or are still being developed using the 5G 7 series chip, in addition to more than 165 devices using the top-tier Snapdragon 865 and 865+.
With phones much cheaper than Xiaomi new Mi 10, Qualcomm already has the Snapdragon 690 5G and has promised that next year we will see the first company to enter the 4th series with 5G support.
In the next 12 months it is likely that more budget phones will come with 5G support, although we still see people like Xiaomi’s Poco sub-brand raising some 5G prices for phones like the new Poco X3. .
