The Elder Scrolls Online is playable at the start of Xbox Series X / S and PlayStation 5 – this is how you transfer your game status to the next-gen consoles.
Thanks to backward compatibility, you can continue to play The Elder Scrolls Online on both Xbox Series X / S and PlayStation 5 without having to start over. However, there are one or the other limitation that prevents you from doing so. Apart from that, nothing stands in the way of the transfer.
If you have the disk version of the MMORPG, you have to connect your console to the Internet and then log in with your PSN ID or your gamertag that you have been using so far.
Then you slide the disk into the drive and start the game. After a possible update, you can continue exactly where you left off on the Last Gen console. Similarly, if you only own The Elder Scrolls Online in digital form. After logging in, however, you first have to search for the title in your library and download it. It’s that simple.
You have bad cards if you switch to a digital-only console, but have previously played with the disk version. If this is the case, it is not possible to continue the old game. The same thing happens to you if you lose the disk. It is required to start. As you have probably already guessed, it is also not possible to switch from a PlayStation to an Xbox or vice versa.
The Markarth DLC, which closes the story of The Black Heart of Skyrim, has recently become available. You can find all information about this here.
