How to change face in content warning
If you just want to stick with the usual keyboard letters and symbols, go upstairs at the start of a game and press “E” at the costume station near the beds to change faces in the content warning . If you can’t write anything, press the Backspace button to delete some characters, then start creating your three-character masterpiece.
If you want to add more characters or unlock the ability to copy and paste faces, then you need to change the content warning. However, if you want to move on without modification, we’ve detailed how to get faces and emoji symbols with Unicode characters below:
How to get emoji faces in content warning
You actually need to access the game files and write the appropriate code to get a unique emoji or symbol, but don’t worry, it’s actually a very simple process.
Thanks to Dabestbro on the game’s official Steam forums for their discovery, here’s how get emoji faces in content warning:
- Make sure you’re not in a content warning session, then search for “Registry Editor” in your Windows search bar.
- In the left menu, expand HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Landfall Games\Content Warning.
- Right-click on the file starting with “FaceText”.
- Type the code for the emoji or symbol you want!
Now, when you go to your house costume customizer, the face will be replaced with the symbol or text string you modified it to outside of the game. For example, by typing “E2 98 BA 00” , you will get a little smiling emoji.
The hardest part of this method is finding the exact string of code you need to get the symbol or text you want, but the post and comments on Dabestbro’s previously mentioned Steam post have been great at gathering this information .
Keep in mind though that not all Unicode typing will work, but you can find a huge list of Unicodes to use in this helpful table.

To copy and paste these faces, you’ll need to edit Content Warning, but you can also just type them all in by finding them on your keyboard.
Remember that you can flip a face using the combination changer arrows, so if a face doesn’t seem to work below, try flipping it!
