mechabre is a sniper rifle that debuted in Destiny 2‘s Festival of the Lost event in 2022.
This rifle combines Gundam-inspired aesthetics with an aggressive frame that’s both punchy and easy to handle. It strikes an almost ideal balance and can be strong in PvE (player versus environment) modes and a game-changer in PvP (competitive).

How to get Mechabre in Destiny 2
Mechabre is exclusive to Festival of the Lost in 2022.
As with all weapons in Festival of the Lost, you will need to participate in the event to receive Mechabre.
A guaranteed Mechabre is awarded after completing the Gone but not Forgotten quest.
Another Mechabre can be earned by completing the Sniperstition event challenge.
While each of these will reward a single Mechabre, main source for farming is Haunted Lost Sectors. These unique event activities allow you and your squad to fight Headless Ones and a boss.
They also award Festival of the Lost weapons upon completion at a very high rate, including Mechabre.
The Festival of the Lost 2022 is here! With it comes the arrival of the Mechabre. Elsewhere in Season of Plunder we have the Sails of the Shipstealer quest, Treasure Coordinates and Map Fragments, Cryptic Quatrains, and weapons such as Quicksilver Storm and Taipan 4FR. Mechabre God Scroll Recommendation in Destiny 2
Each Mechabre has an original trait, called Search Party, and a random suite of perks. Search Party improves aiming speed and movement speed while aiming, as long as no allies are nearby.
The “god roll”, or the best possible version of the gun, will depend on the user and the application. That being said, there is a version of Mechabre that we can recommend to any player.

As per usual, Arrowhead is our recommendation for the barrel. Snipers are the highest range weapons in Destiny 2, so barrels that add extra range are wasted potential. Instead, Arrowhead Break’s improved maneuverability will help with aiming and lining up critical hits quickly, while the improved knockback stat makes it much easier to repeatedly spice up powerful enemies or take down injured Guardians in the Crucible.
flared magwell increases stability and improves reload speed, both essential for maintaining sustained fire on targets. It’s perfect for setting up DPS against tough targets or keeping you in the action.
Instant Views is the essential advantage for shooting in PVP, and also beneficial in PVE. This perk dramatically increases the downsight animation speed, allowing Guardians to transition from sighting a targeter to aiming and firing much faster. It’s a literal lifesaver in the Crucible, and ideal for players who quickly switch between their arsenal of weapons against The Darkness.
Mechabre is at its best when it can be quickly aimed, fired with precision, and ready to follow when needed for the killing blow. Opening shot starts with increased aim assist, increased range, narrowed precision cone, and smaller precision cone growth. In short, the first shot is much more likely to land accurately, killing most Guardians and setting up the sustained accurate shot that the rest of the roll is built around.
As usual, once you have your favorite jet, be sure to upgrade it to a Masterwork to give it a stat boost, the ability to generate orbs on multiple kills, and add the option of a kill tracker!
