Zero review is an Exotic Pulse Rifle in Destiny 2 that was added during Seraph Season.
This kinetic weapon accumulates targeting data from repeated critical hits, which can be converted into a massive amount of bonus damage for a short time. It is also a necessary weapon to destroy Security Drones and complete the Good Boy Protocol mission.
This page will detail how to get overhaul zero in Destiny 2, how to unlock overhaul zero catalysts, and which overhaul zero god roll you should be aiming for.

How to Get Overhaul Zero in Destiny 2
Revision Zero is a very simple weapon to unlock. Start by progressing in the More than a weapon quest line. Eventually, you will be tasked with completing the Operation: Seraph’s Shield mission. Complete this mission and you will receive your first zero overhaul and the exotic quest The hidden form.
The goal of Hidden Form is to unlock Overh aul Zero for crafting, allowing you to craft and customize the weapon to your liking. Here are the steps for this questline:
- Complete Operation: Seraph Shield.
- Talk to Clovis at the Exo Frame in the HELM
- Complete the arrival mission.*
- Speak to Ikora Rey in the Mars Enclave and complete the Crafting: Extraction quest.*
- Speak to Ikora Rey at the Mars Enclave and complete the Shaping: Resonant Alloys quest.*
- Zero revision form.
Once the hidden form is complete, the zero overhaul will become manufacturable. It will also unlock four quests, each rewarding a different catalyst upon completion.
* If these quests or missions have already been completed, this progress will count.
Season of the Seraph is here alongside More Than a Weapon, Seraph Key Codes and Resonate Stems and the addition of Rose in Crucible. You can also complete the Good Boy Protocol secret quest to make a new friend. We also saw a new dungeon, Spire of the Watcher, with a chance of the Hierarchy of Needs dropping at the end. Earlier this year we had the arrival of the King’s Fall and King’s Fall challenges, as well as weapons such as Doom of Chelchis and Touch of Malice. For The Witch Queen, find out how to get Dead Messenger and Parasite.
How to Unlock Revision Zero Catalysts Destiny 2
Revision Zero is unusual among Exotic weapons in possessing four different potential catalysts. Each has a separate quest line, named Should you choose to accept it parts I-IV. Each quest rewards a different catalyst, and each one you complete buffs Hunter’s Trace, Revision Zero’s Intrinsic Damage.
The four Catalyst quests are nearly identical. We recommend progressing all four missions to Stage 5, allowing you to complete the final stages for each simultaneously.
Here are the steps to complete each quest Should You Choose to Accept It:
Collect a cryptographic index
There are four Cryptographi Clues in total to locate. Two come from a terminal at the end of the Operation Archimedes mission, two from a terminal at the end of Operation Diocles.
Travel to a specified destination
This will take you to Europa, Cosmodrome, EDZ, and the Moon. Simply fly towards each one to complete this stage.
Defeat enemies and complete patrols
At each of the destinations listed above, simply eliminate enemies and patrol. You will gain 1% progression for eliminations, 5% progression for patrols.
Locate dead drops
Dead drops are ciphers at the end of lost sectors. Enter and complete K1 Logistics (Moon), Perdition (Europa), Terminus East (EDZ), and Exodus Garden 2A (Cosmodrome), and search for the Häkke hologram after each boss. Warning: Ciphers explode shortly after being activated.
Launch Operation Seraph’s Shield on Legend difficulty and find the weapon blueprint
- For this step, you’ll be looking for four dead Exo scattered throughout Operation: Seraph’s Shield. They are usually on the normal mission path, but can be easy to miss.
- The first Exo can be found near the Trap Room exit door. After activating each terminal to deactivate the trap, you can interact with the dead Exo by exiting the room.
- Then shortly after finding the first operator increase. Clear the room with the two screamers and enter the conduit that allows you to shoot a switch. The Exo is in a side path inside this vent.
- The third Exo is in the large room with the stack of explosive barrels in the center (the rally flag will indicate this is the correct location). As soon as you enter the room, turn right and look for a door on your right.
- The final Exo can be found immediately after you escape from the prison. Enter the hallway with all the Braytech executives fighting the Fallen and search the rooms on the right side. The last dead Exo will be there.
Operation Completed: Seraph Shield
Now that you have found all the dead Exos, you must fight the final boss and upload a virus to the final terminal to complete the operation: Seraph’s Shield.
Visit a weapons expert to analyze catalysts
Once you have all four catalysts, visit Banshee-44 in the tower. It will comment on your new toys and complete the last step of Should You Choose to Accept It.
Destiny 2 Overhaul Zero God Roll Recommendation
Revision Zero is a pulse rifle that requires precision hits to activate its damage-boosting perk.
A “god roll” from the Zero overhaul makes it easier to land precision hits, rewards Guardians for it, and adds an extra kick to each shot to stun enemies.
here is our god roll Revision Zero recommended in Destiny 2:
- Arrowhead
- Stock composite
- Perpetual motion
- Large caliber cartridges
- The fourth time is the charm
arrowhead break is a frequent go-to for god rolls for good reason. This improves handling a bit and forces the recoil into an extremely predictable vertical pattern, extremely useful if you want to stay accurate while shooting continuously.
Stock composite provides a small boost to both stability and maneuverability. The zero overhaul needs a bit of both, which is why it gives a nod to a bigger buff to either stat individually.
Perpetual motion is designed to increase stability, maneuverability and reload speed if you are constantly moving. Revision Zero excels as an out of cover weapon, where footwork is used to line up shots and avoid damage at medium to long range. As such, Perpetual Motion is almost always active and works well with the Arrowhead Break and Composite Stock to make it a very easy to fire weapon.
Large caliber cartridges have the important function of stunning enemies. This is useful in PVE, where it frequently prevents enemies from shooting at you, and in PVP, where it can ruin an opposing Guardian’s accuracy.
Of the four Catalyst-based perks, The fourth time is the charm stands out for working in synergy with the way Revision Zero is used. This weapon is intended to accumulate rapid critical hits. Fourth Time’s the Charm returns two rounds to the magazine if four consecutive critical hits land. With this gear, a precise and deadly shot can continue for long periods of time without reloading, dealing damage and accumulating targeting data. This is an ideal perk for this weapon build.
As usual, once you have your favorite jet, be sure to upgrade it to a Masterwork to give it a stat boost, the ability to generate orbs on multiple kills, and add the option of a kill tracker!
