How to get Wendigo GL3 in Destiny 2
Wendigo GL3 is a Nightfall Weapon. This is a possible, but not guaranteed, drop at the end of Warden of Nothing Nightfall Strike.
The only opportunity to grow Wendigo will depend on timing. Each week, a different Strike is featured as Nightfall, so you’ll have to wait for the Guardian of Nothing to appear in the rotation. Once that’s done, it’ll be your job to run and re-roll strike until you get your Wendigo.
Whether the weapon drops is a matter of luck, but you have the ability to tip the scales in your favor. Increasing the difficulty also increases the chance of the Nightfall weapon dropping, Rare at the lowest difficulty for Commmon at the highest.
You can also equip the Ghost Prosperity mod (Vanguard). This gives Playlist Strikes and Nightfalls a chance to drop additional Legendary gear upon completion. This has never been confirmed to include the Nightfall weapons themselves, but anecdotally it seems to have an effect.
Season of the Seraph is here alongside More Than a Weapon, Seraph Key Codes and Resonate Stems and the addition of Rose in Crucible. You can also complete the Good Boy Protocol secret quest to make a new friend. We also saw a new dungeon, Spire of the Watcher, with a chance of the Hierarchy of Needs dropping at the end. Earlier this year we had the arrival of the King’s Fall and King’s Fall challenges, as well as weapons such as Doom of Chelchis and Touch of Malice. For The Witch Queen, find out how to get Dead Messenger and Parasite.
Wendigo GL3 god roll recommendation in Destiny 2
Wendigo GL3 is a damage inflicting monster. It is exceptionally suited for taking down champions and DPSing bosses.
Wendigo GL3’s version, or ‘god roll’ is all about the damage. He focuses on hitting hard, above all else.
here is our Wendigo GL3 god roll recommended in Destiny 2:
- Difficult launch
- Spike Grenades
- Self-loading case
- Explosive light
- Superb recovery
Difficult launch provides a big bonus to speed, which translates directly into impact damage for anything hit by the grenade. This comes at the expense of some stability and a smaller blast radius, but you’ll mostly be shooting larger, more stationary targets, so it’s a worthwhile trade-off.
Spike Grenades are another direct buff to impact damage and increase stability by the same amount Hard Launch decreased. It’s a perfect marriage of perks to get maximum damage with minimum downside.
Self-loading case is the Thinking Guardian’s perk. It reloads your weapon after being holstered for 2.5 seconds. The idea is simple: unload all your grenades, switch to another gun to keep dealing damage, then switch back to your reloaded Wendigo for another massive burst of damage.
Explosive light is amazing, if you plan for it. Picking up a Power Orb increases the damage of the next shot you fire. You can pick up up to six and have a magazine full of polished grenades to fire. Used in combination with supers and armor mods that regularly create Power Orbs, this is one of Destiny 2’s best perks.
Superb recovery is one of three selectable original traits. None of the options are exceptional, but Stunning Recovery is excellent in certain situations. With it, stunning a champion will partially refill your magazine, increase recovery, and trigger health regeneration. It’s very situational, but fighting Champions is exactly the kind of situation where it’s nice to have an advantage.
As usual, once you have your favorite jet, be sure to upgrade it to a Masterwork to give it a stat boost, the ability to generate orbs on multiple kills, and add the option of a kill tracker!
