For such a large game, it’s no surprise that Ring of Elden Endings are many.
There are three different achievements or trophies to unlock, but in one of them four variant endings have been found so far.
If you’re looking to complete the game either way with one character, you’ll need no less than six games to do so.
The good news though is that they all follow the same critical path, and the endings are dictated by the side quests you’ve done and the characters you’ve encountered.
Whether you’re up for the challenge of seeing everyone or just want to see what each stage entails, this page explains how endings work in Elden Ring and their requirements. In both cases, spoilers are to follow!

How many Elden Ring endings are there?
As things stand, we are aware of six different Elden Ring endings. However, these fit into three main endings, four of which all belong to the umbrella of the Elden Lord ending, which grants a trophy or achievement no matter which variant you unlock.
That’s a lot of endings for any game, let alone one as big as Elden Ring. Luckily, while a full game playthrough could comfortably take you up to 100 hours, assuming you want to see everything there is to see, you can actually get through the game very quickly if you’re playing on a new game plus, or just really good at the game.
How to get an Elden Ring ending
While the world of Elden Ring is undoubtedly huge, the parts actually needed to see an ending, at least the most basic one, are pretty slim.
Our Elden Ring walkthrough and main bosses in the command pages explain the critical path in more detail, but in short, you need two large runes to visit the capital city of Leyndell and then fight your way through them all. the bosses there (up to and including Morgott) then head to the giant peaks and face the fire giant.
At this point, the world will change slightly, and you’ll need to return to Leyndell to battle the new bosses in the area. Once you defeat Godfrey again, you will face the real final battle, which consists of two bosses one after the other.
It’s what you do along this path, it’s how the ending changes – what we’re going to dig into now…

The Age of Order is the variant of the Elden Lord ending that depends on you follow the questline of Brother Corhyn and Goldmask. It’s a fairly complex quest that requires you to find and talk to two NPCs, and also have 37 intelligences at any given time.
