THE The tomb of the hero Gelmir in Elden Ring is a place in Gelmir. You’ll find it southeast of Seethewater Cave and north of Wyndham Catacombs, but it’s a little harder to reach than just following a road or compass.
With lava almost everywhere you turn in this location of Elden Ring, as well as tanks and several other things trying to end your existence, it takes a bit of skill to navigate the area safely.
here is our Elden Ring Germir Hero’s Grave Walkthroughincluding how to beat the champion’s red wolf.

How to find Hero Gelmir’s Tomb in Elden Ring
To get to Gelmir’s Hero’s Tomb, start at the Grace Site “Bridge of Iniquity” and head northwest.
Where the Maiden Captors cross the battlefield, look left towards the rock wall. You will see a rope ladder that you can follow upwards. The grave is on the plateau.
Go down the elevator, activate the grace site “Gelmir’s Hero’s Tomb” and take the southern corridor until you find yourself in front of a slope with a river of lava running through it.
Sprint halfway, but don’t linger too long with the two skeletons, as it won’t be long before a Chariot arrives as well. He will roll towards you, so seek shelter in one of the alcoves on the side.
Wait until he has passed you on the way up and sprint further down the slope, where you can take cover on the left.
Repeat these steps until you can go lower. The path branches off here:
- At this point you can drop off on a wooden cross next to the slope. The fall is deep, but with enough HP you should survive:
- You can follow the normal path further down.
Drop-down path to Gelmir’s Hero’s Tomb in Elden Ring
Aim your fall precisely and you will land on the X-shaped wooden beam. Jump through one of the open windows to the north, recover 5x root resin and go down the ladder.
Defeat the Bloodhound Knight (who will hopefully drop his armor set) and collect the Gelmir Knight armor set from the corpse, which consists of the Helm of Knight Gelmir, Gelmir Knight Armor, Gelmir Knight’s Gauntlets And Gelmir’s Knight’s Greaves.
The passage to the south leads to a ledge with a corpse which contains 6x smoking butterfly.
Then head back the way you came and go down from the wooden cross. You will find yourself in the same passage that you would have reached if you had continued on the first ramp.
This is exactly where we will return for the next step.
Normal path to Gelmir’s Hero’s Tomb in Elden Ring
Return to the first ramp with the tank. Instead of falling on the wooden cross, continue downhill.
From a distance you can already see that the accessible platform ends at a certain point and only lava flows.
Here the path forks again:
- Before the end of the platform on the left, you can jump towards the Funeral Glovewort (7) and follow the area behind her.
- You can run further down the lava towards the west and discover on the right an alcove with 1x Funeral Glovewort (7). You can drop down next and land next to the boss door.
- Before that, you can follow the hallway south to find a treasure chest with the hammer. Ringed finger.
Return to the first ramp and where the platform ends. Head left and jump over the lava to the entrance, where you can choose 1x Funeral Glovewort (7).
The room behind is full of Minor Graveyard Shadowspiloted by two more robust skeletons (so be careful, one of them emerges from behind the corner on the left).
Clear the room and you will find 1x Funeral Glovewort (7), 1x Funeral Glovewort (6) And 1x Rowa fruit. In the room to the left of the stairs you will find 1x Funeral Glovewort (6) And 1x Funeral Glovewort (7).
Then go up the stairs, defeat the enemies, collect 1x Ghost Glovewort (7) and hit the column of flamethrowers in the next room to disarm it.
In the south room there are 1x Golden Rune (6) at the end, but watch out for the two skeletons in the niches to the left and right ahead.
You will encounter the second Chariot in the eastern hallway. Wait for him to come down, go up the ramp and you will find 1x Stone Sword Key.
On the way down you can recover 1x Funeral Glovewort (7) on the right. Going down to the north, use the alcoves on the sides where the skeletons appear.
At the bottom, where the path turns to the left, use the right alcove as cover, but you must kill the Shadows of the Small Graveyard there, who will use the Mantis Blade for the first time. Collect it after cleaning the blinds, as well as the 1x Funeral Glovewort (7) in the alcove and wait for the Chariot to roll into the west passage.
How to reach the Champion’s Red Wolf in Germir’s Hero’s Tomb in Elden Ring
The next path leads through the lava and is only recommended if your character is strong enough (otherwise use the path described above with the drop into the alcove).
Roll and heal immediately after being hit by the Chariot. On the left side you will find the alcove with a corpse and 3x beast blood and a ladder next to it.
This leads to a Funeral Glovewort (7) and a door that can be opened. The stairs behind you will take you straight through the fog door towards the boss. And this is another old acquaintance…
How to beat the Champion’s Red Wolf in Elden Ring
Champion’s Red Wolf is the boss of Gelmir’s Hero’s Tomb.
He resembles the Red Wolf of Radagon, which is a mid-boss of Raya Lucaria Academy down to the smallest details. See this page for more details.
The wolf behaves exactly the same here, right down to the sword in his mouth and the spells he uses.
Your reward for defeating the Champion’s Red Wolf is 21,000 Runes, Bloodhound Knight Floh’s Spirit Ashes, and Deathroot (it’s in the treasure chest).
