THE Waypoint Ruins are a place in Ring of Fire you encounter in the eastern part of Limgrave.
The Waypoint Ruins is also where you can start the Witch Sellen questline and activate her as a merchant to purchase sorceries. As a result, this is an important location to clear early on in Elden Ring.

Don’t be fooled by the pretty flowers as you approach, as these plant creatures are very aggressive towards intruders. That said, the little ones are not your problem. Although they can spray poison, they can’t take many hits and can be lured away from the parent plant.
The parent plant, however, is in a different category. If you stand at a distance, he charges lightning bolts around you, which strike shortly after. Stay away from these ground markings to avoid taking unnecessary damage.
As you approach it, the flower closes and then releases poison into the surrounding area. It is recommended to prepare neutralizing boluses to prepare for this battle, as they help keep the poison at bay. If you haven’t learned how to craft them yet, it would be a good idea to look for the Armorer’s Recipe Book (2), which you can purchase from the Nomad Merchant located between the Limgrave Coastal Cave and the Tomb of the Fringefolk hero.
Fortunately, the large plant doesn’t have many ways to defend itself in close combat, and you can even break its stance, allowing you to go all out for your hits.
Once the plant is defeated, collect the Miranda Powder let him fall. You can also find the following in the area:
- x1 Golden Rune (1)
- x1 Immunizing Cured Meat
- x2 Luminous Stone
After collecting these items, you can then use your horse, Torrent, to reach the stairs leading to the Mad Pumpkin Head boss in the cave.
You must defeat Mad Pumpkin Head in order to meet Sellen after your victory.
