Configure reconnaissance cameras to get more information about the Doomsday IO device is one of the challenges of the Resistance in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2.
To complete this challenge, you must first complete weeks 1-5 of this season’s resistance challenges, then establish a device uplink near Loot Lake.
Completing this challenge will reward you with 23K XP, which will help you unlock new Battle Pass skins.
Explanation of recon camera locations in Fortnite
Before you can set up Recon cameras, you must first establish a device uplink at one of the three marked locations in Loot Lake.
After establishing a device uplink, six possible recon camera locations will appear around the Loot Lake area. However, you only need to set up three
Chapter 3 Season 2 is here! New additions include the Prowler skin, Cow Catchers, red and blue lines on the Fortnite map, and rebuild quests, including finding and destroying an IO build jammer and recovering battle bus blueprints missing. There are also resistance quests to complete, including securing information from dead drops, planting wire traps, retrieving a data drive, and setting up direct relays. Jetpacks are also back! Meanwhile, the Victory Crowns and Character Collection have been reset, while there’s a new Victory Umbrella to find.
the first reconnaissance camera location is on the opposite shore to the north of the small island in the middle of Loot Lake. the second reconnaissance camera can be found by going south from this island in the middle of the lake.
For the third reconnaissance camera location, go southeast of the middle island to a hill overlooking the north dock of Tilted Towers. Head directly east of this location to find the fourth reconnaissance camera near a clump of trees near a yellow house.
Start heading towards Coney Crossroads and cross the river to find the fifth reconnaissance camera location on a hill west of Coney Crossroads, overlooking the Tilted Towers IO Airship. the sixth and final Recon camera can be found by following the northwest shore from the fifth location.
You can set up Recon cameras in any order, and challenge progress will carry over between matches. So, no need to worry about revisiting a location if you have already installed a camera there.
After setting up three Recon Cameras, you’ll unlock the next stage of the Week 6 Resistance Challenges which will require you to uplink another Device, then kill an IO Guard and provide dead drop intel.
