Marbled Gohma in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is the final part of the Fire Temple and the Goron’s Yunobo main quest. This boss has a few tricks up its sleeve, but once you learn its attack pattern and weak points, taking it down can be really easy.
Before going to fight this temple boss in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, we recommend that you spend some time getting some metal weapons that have a damage level above eight. Also, if you find this boss difficult the first time around, then visiting shrines and goddess statues to increase your stamina and health or drinking rush elixirs can help.
Without further ado, we’ll show you how to beat Marbled Gohma in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

How to beat Marbled boss Gohma in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
The fight with Marbled Gohma happens in two phases and, thankfully, compared to other boss encounters in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the fight with Gohma is quite straightforward. However, that doesn’t mean the fight is easy, as you have to stay alive long enough to hit them where it hurts.
For this first playthrough, all you’ll really need is Yunobo and a melee weapon (or a few, just in case a breakage occurs). If you collected the weapons you found in the Fire Temple, you should have plenty in your inventory for this fight.
Mottled Gohma Boss Fight – Phase 1
In this first phase, Gohma will stay on the ground with you. Their weakness is their crab-like legs, which are rather large, making them easy targets. However, you should be careful with their attacks in this phase as they can deal a good amount of damage, especially if Gohma is the first boss you encountered.
Mottled Gohma will try to stomp you with his legs, so if you see a leg close to being lifted up, get out of the way (but not under Gohma, that’s a bad idea). In this phase, Gohma is quite slow, so you can dodge their attacks.
Also keep an eye out for his shockwave attack. Gohma will jump up and then slam all of his legs into the ground to send a short but dangerous shockwave around him. As soon as you see Gohma jump, prepare to jump as well to prevent the attack from happening.
Gohma’s explosive boulders are another attack to avoid. They will fire a few rocks at a time and they will explode shortly after being released. Once you see one of these rocks, try to run away. If you know you can’t get out in time, use Yunobo’s ability to crush them.
Now to knock Gohma down in this phase, aim Yunobo on one of Gohma’s legs and smash him in the leg. This will take away some of Gohma’s health and briefly knock him to the ground.
Once Gohma is on the ground, run towards them and climb up the middle of their body to reach their eye. Attack their eye with your melee weapon (and any weapon you have on hand) to reduce its health. However, watch for Gohma to start rumbling. As soon as they do that, get Link out of there or Gohma will jump up and push Link back. It can be instant death if you’re not careful.
If you think you won’t be able to climb over Gohma’s body in time, you can always attack his eye with an arrow. We found that anything with an ice elemental effect really hurt Gohma.
All you have to do now is rinse and repeat these steps until Gohma’s health is halved. When he reaches this point, the second phase of the fight will begin.
Mottled Gohma Boss Fight – Phase Two
In the second phase of this fight, Gohma will now turn around to stand on the ceiling. They also have a new attack that you need to watch out for. If you have one, eating a meal that increases your attack power here will help.
In addition to continuing to use his attack where he fires a few explosive boulders at a time, Gohma will now create a circle of those boulders around Link in an attempt to burn him. When you find yourself surrounded by these rocks, the easiest solution is to use Yunobo’s ability to crush a few of them to create a path for Link to walk through.
You can also use Rewind on one of the rocks to reverse its path so you can escape the circle, but it’s a risky move as the rocks can explode before Rewind begins to take effect.
As you did in the first phase, you must attack Gohma’s legs to bring them to the ground. This is easier said than done as the boss won’t stay in one place, he will crawl around the ceiling.
To attack his legs, look at where Gohma is on the ceiling and head to the curved part of the wall closest to Gohma. Throw Yunobo into one of the curves near Gohma and nine times out of ten Yunobo will hit one of his legs.
Once you manage to hit Gohma, he will be pinned to the ground again for a short time. As you did before, get on his body and attack his eye as much as you can, but get out of there once Gohma starts rumbling.
All you have to do now is stay alive, then flush and repeat these steps to bring Gohma’s health back to zero. After reducing Gohma’s health to zero, you will have defeated the Fire Temple boss.
