How to beat the Goblu expedition to Clair Obscur 33

You have to fight Mouth at the end of the flying water area to continue with the main story in Clear obscure: Expedition 33.

Goblu is the second main boss you meet in Clear Obscur: Expedition 33, and could be difficult if you have not kept the equipment of your group, or if you bring a weapon to which Goblu resists.

How to prepare for Goblu

It is a good idea to sort the pictures and lumina loads of your group before starting the battle with Goblu. Here is what we had equipped Pictos and Lumina on Gustave, Moon and Maelle when we defeated Goblu:

Gustav

• 'Amazing attack“Pictos – 50% increased breaking damage during the basic attack.
• 'Autonomous attack“Pictos – Win powerful for a basic attack tour.
• 'Increased attack“Pictos – 50% increased basic attack damage.
• 'Increased objective“Lumina – 50% increased free objective damage.
• 'Dead Energy II'Lumina – +3 AP killing an enemy.
• 'Critical burn“Lumina – 25% increased critical chances to burn enemies.

Although “Cruleram” is generally a better choice, we have equipped the “Abyaram” weapon on Gustave against Goblu, such as “Cruleram” attacks with ice, to which Goblu resists.

Moon

• 'Critical burn“Pictos – 25% increased the critical chances of burning enemies.
• 'Expose an attack“Pictos – Base Attack applies defenseless for a tour.
• 'SOS shell“Pictos – Apply shell below 50% health.
• 'Increased attack“Lumina – 50% increased basic attack damage.
• 'Dead Energy II'Lumina – +3 AP killing an enemy.
• 'Dodge'Lumina – Win 1 AD on Perfect Dodge. Once a turn.

We also recommend equipping the skill of “healing light” from the moon, to help heal your party.

Maelley

• 'Increased objective“Pictos – 50% increased free objective damage.
• 'Dodge'Pictos – Win 1 AD on Perfect Dodge. Once a turn.
• 'Enriching brand'Pictos – +2 AD on the damage caused to a marked target. Once a turn.
• 'SOS shell“Lumina – Apply shell below 50% health.
• 'Amazing attack“Lumina – 50% increased breaking damage during the basic attack.

“Degation” is a good competence to be equipped on Maelle, as it makes the boss weak to shoot for two laps. Many pictures, lumina, skills of character and weapons attack with the element of fire at this stage of the game, so the “degable” can help you inflict more damage in Goblu, without even trying.

Maelle can also learn the “shell” which reduces the damage caused by the allies when applied. It is not an essential competence to equip, but Shell can save you from the most powerful attacks in Goblu.

How to beat the Goblu expedition to Clair Obscur 33

For a combat advantage, here are some tips on How to beat Goblu In Clear Dark: Expedition 33:

• Goblu is low for Lightning type attacks, such as the skills of “Thunderfall” from the Moon, and the skills of “overload” of Gustave and “Marking Shot”. The “overload” is incredibly effective against goblu in particular, when you have a lot of charges.
• However, Goblu resists ice -type attacks, so it is not a good idea to equip Gustave's weapon, because it is imbued with ice.
• When goblu jumps, you must dodge or parry. Although it may seem an attack where you have to jump, Goblu attacks your whole party with this movement, which means that you can only dodge it or combine it.
• Use free distance attacks to get rid of Goblu shields. A blow dissipates a shield. So do not use your most powerful attacks as long as all its shields have not disappeared.
• When Goblu “ pushes flowers '' or “regenerates the flowers”, use a free lens to hit the bulbs of the four flowers, or Goblu will absorb their power in its next round.



• However, when GoBlue “cultivates many flowers”, ignore the flowers and try to kill Goblu as soon as possible.
• Apply a burn early, so Goblu undergoes additional damage as soon as possible. Moon and Maelle have effective fire attacks. Remember that burn can be packed! The more burns than an enemy has, the more they suffer from damage.
• Use Maelle's “Degage” skill if you can set up a weakness of the fire in Goblu for two laps per use.
