Resin wrapped is needed to craft handy items and equipment like the Staff, and is used to upgrade Flame Altars – but it’s one of the hardest resources to find.
To help you with your crafting needs, we have detailed how to get resin in Enshroudedincluding the best early location to grow resin.

How to get resin in Enshrouded
You have to cut down big trees to get resin in Enshrouded, but it’s not a guaranteed drop, making resin one of the most difficult materials to obtain. Although you can get resin from trees of all sizes, you are much more likely to see it falling from larger trees, so we avoid smaller ones when farming.
To give you an idea of its rarity, we obtained six resins by felling 15 medium and large trees around the starting base.
Keep in mind that if you find a group of trees that are dropping resin, you can exit the main menu and reload your save to make the trees respawn and continually farm resin. You can also wait a few days in-game for trees to respawn naturally if you’re not in a hurry to get them.
At the start of the game, you’ll probably only get regular wood from chopping down trees, so be sure to craft an ax and chop down any larger trees you see to store resin for later.
You can make an ax with:
- Twigs x4
- Stone x1
- Chain x1
We recommend crafting a better ax when you can to reduce time and stamina consumption when farming for resin. We also recommend investing in the Survivor skill tree so you can unlock the Runner and Rebound perks to improve your stamina consumption and recharge rate.
Best place to get resin in Enshrouded
Generally, early in the game, the best place to get resin in Enshrouded is your first camp, as it is surrounded by many trees.
Later, when you want to set up camp elsewhere, you can guarantee a good amount of trees in the surrounding area if you make seedbeds with the farmer. You can then quickly travel between your camps using the Flame Altars to farm resin from trees in multiple areas.
You can get the Farmer from the Ancient Vault – Farmer waypoint, which is very far north of your first camp, so you’ll need a bit of exploring before you get there. We recommend equipping the glider and grappling hook to make your journey easier.
Good luck resin hunting!
