Inazuma is the only region of GenshinImpact locked behind an Archon Quest, meaning you can’t just hike through Teyvat to get there like you can with Sumeru and Fontaine.
Occasional problems are detected that allow you to arrive early in Inazuma in Genshin Impact, but they all end up being fixed. You also cannot bypass the quest requirements if you are using a character with an ability that allows them to walk on water, as they will be teleported away from Inazuma when they get too close.
However, there is a legitimate way to explore Inazuma early without unlocking it yourself, as well as other ways to obtain Inazuma materials if you only need to go there to upgrade your characters and weapons .
We have therefore exceeded how to get to Inazuma in Genshin Impact the correct way below, as well as how to explore the area early and listing other ways to obtain Inazuma materials like Naku Weed and Sango Pearl.

How to get to Inazuma in Genshin Impact
To access Inazuma in Genshin Impact, you must be Adventure Rank 30 and start chapter 1 of the Inazuma Archon quest “The Unchanging God and Eternal Euthymia”. You must complete at least the “Ritou Escape Plan” portion of this Archon quest, as you cannot leave Ritou and explore the rest of Inazuma until you have done so.
To access this first Archon quest from Inazuma, you must complete all Archon quests in Liyue, all Archon Interlude quests between Liyue and Inazuma, as well as the Inazuma prologue chapter “Autumn Winds, Scarlet Leaves”. This can take a very long time, so the sections below can help you if you simply need to get to Inazuma for its regional materials.
How to get to Inazuma at the start of Genshin Impact
Aside from the strange glitch that is inevitably fixed, the only way to access Inazuma at the start of Genshin Impact is to enter another player’s world cooperatively. If they are the same world level and have unlocked Inazuma during their playthrough, then you can freely explore the island nation to collect all the resources you need.
We recommend enabling the “Allow direct participation” and “Show joinable items only” options in the co-op menu to speed up joining a world. Just remember your manners and ask if you can take their documents after you join.
How to get Inazuma materials early in Genshin Impact
HAS get Inazuma materials at the start of Genshin Impact you can:
- Doing Inazuma Character Tests
- Buy them from a store in Sumeru
- Grow them in your Serenitea pot
Unfortunately, you can only do character tests to get Amakumo Fruit, Crystal Marrow, Dendrobium, Fluorescent Fungus, Onikabuto, or Sakura Bloom early. However, other Inazuma materials can be purchased or farmed before reaching Inazuma.
Character tests
Doing the tests for Inazuma characters gives you a small amount of their Ascension materials, so even if you don’t plan on wanting these particular characters, do their tests anyway so you can stockpile the Inazuma materials for later.
We recommend doing all the character trials that appear anyway, whether or not you need their ascension materials, as you might get a character that will need them in the future.
Sumeru Shop
Babak, on the east side of Port Ormos in Sumeru, sells Naku Weed and Sango Pearl materials. Each costs 1,000 Mora, he sells a maximum of five each, and his stock is refreshed every three days.
Pot of serenity
After completing the adventure quest “A Teapot for a Home: Part 1” in Liyue, you get your own Serenitea pot to decorate. Once you have access to the pot, visit it and talk to Tubby, from whom you can purchase Sea Ganoderma and Naku Weed seeds with your special kingdom currency.
As long as you have the right type of farming land, you can then plant these seeds to grow Sea Ganoderma and Naku Weed. You need a value path: Lush Glebe to farm Naku Weed, and a value path: Orderly Meadow to farm Sea Ganoderma.
Happy exploring Inazuma in Genshin Impact!
