How to use gradient attacks and gradient meters in Clear Oppur Expedition 33

Halfway through the game, you will gain the ability to make gradient attacks. These are powerful super movements attributed to your control of the dashboard (R2 on PlayStation 5) – Think about it as limits of Final Fantasy. A gradient gauge, joint between your group, is filled next to your character portraits each time a character uses a skill.

This can be filled up to three times, with degraded attacks costing one, two or three points to perform. More degraded attacks are unlocked by increasing the level of relationship between party members – to do this, talk to them in the camp after the adults beat to watch a scene and unlock a new movement. They do not need to be allocated as skills, instead, each character has access to all their gradient attacks.

On the other hand, some enemies can also make degraded attacks against the party. You will recognize this when the fight slows down and a swirling gray effect occurs. For Parry, you will need to use a gradient counter by pressing R2 (on PlayStation 5) – The timing for this is that the attack is about to strike, not when the animation of the gray effect begins for the first time. This will result in a very powerful counter.

Just know that these gradient attacks can be included as part of a combo, so you may have to alternate between dodge and parade and a gradient counter. Note, however, that to make a degraded counter, you just have to bet the gradient attack accordingly, rather than browse each blow in the combo.
