This icy werewolf is fast, agile, and has a reputation for taking down many hunters in the game.

How to prepare for Lunagaron for the first time

This icy client is by no means easy to take down, when it comes to the second of the Three Lords in Sunbreak’s main storyline.

This fanged wyvern has different attacks depending on its position – it will either be on all fours, covered in ice, or on its hind legs, swinging towards you with its muscular arms and razor-sharp claws.

This of course means that ice and water are of no use to you, but fire and thunder is the way to go. And if you have a decent dragon weapon but no ice or thunder, the dragon is better than nothing.

How to Beat Lunagaron in Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak

Lunagaron is the second of the Three Lords of Sunrise. This one, a werewolf, is in many ways reminiscent of a Tobi Kadachi or an Odogaron, but with a cool new twist in that he uses ice to his advantage.

Given what it’s based on, it’s no surprise that Lunagaron comes in two forms, four-legged and two-legged.

Generally speaking, Lunagaron will walk the map on all fours but fight you on two legs. However, he doesn’t exclusively stick to one or the other in a fight, giving him massive speed and agility.

Additionally, he has a habit of covering himself in ice, not only for protection, but also to give him something to attack you with.

This, of course, means ice burn, which in turn means adding Nulberries to your pack.

While you can cast to unfreeze your Silkbugs, like you could in High Rank, those attacks hit harder in Master Rank and that negative attack lasts longer. Rather than expending your entire stamina bar rolling around like a Volvidon, just eat a berry.

While you’re covered in ice, your plan should be to moan on it with whatever weapon you prefer, hitting the icy parts until they break. This will knock the wyvern over, giving you the option to hit it where it hurts the most (roughly the abdomen).

The downside, of course, is that when he gets back up, he’ll be extremely angry and start hitting you.

While your laptop will let you know that as it loses its cold (literally), its muscles warm up and expand (that much harder to hit you), it generally hits harder when angry and covered in ice. .

While Lunagaron doesn’t have too many ice attacks aside from using his claws, the one to watch out for is that he jumps overhead and shoots ice balls at you. at the top.

It’s not really telegraphed though, so just make sure to keep your health topped up if you get up close and personal.

As with all monsters in the franchise, once you learn its attack pattern, you’ll quickly know when and where your openings are.

Lunagaron is a tactile, but fair boss, and you can beat him easily if you stay focused. Just make sure to always keep him in your sights, because he’s surprisingly fast on all fours!
