Unfortunately, Pidove and its evolutions Tranquill and Unfezant aren’t very useful in competitive games or raids in Pokémon Go. However, if you’re still missing the Shiny Pokémon or the Perfect 4* Pokémon, this is your chance to try to find one.
If you don’t like Pidove, evolving as many Pokémon as possible is this week’s Spotlight hour plan – due to the double evolution XP bonus that comes with the event.

Pidove 100% Perfect IV Stats in Pokémon Go
This week’s Spotlight Hour is a great opportunity to catch a Pidove with perfect IV stats.
“Perfect” means two things in Pokémon Go, depending on how you plan to use a given Pokémon. First, there’s the 100% Max IV build, which is the 15/15/15 you’re after for your 4* Pokédex, Raids, and Master League. Yet, due to the way CP is calculated using three stats, a perfect Pokémon IV is usually just the best version of itself in the Master League.
Of course, you can’t see a Pokemon’s IV without catching it first, but with a little research beforehand, you can quickly spot a perfect Pidove based on CP alone.
If you are at level 30 (or higher), you will ideally be looking for the following CP for a perfect 15/15/15 Pidove:
The wild CP value aligns with your trainer level until you reach level 30, and since the majority of the player base is now above that level, we’ve kept these values for the sake of it. of simplicity. These values will however be different if you are currently below level 30.
Is Unfezant good in PVP?
No matter what league you watch, Unfezant runs Air Slash, Sky Attack, and Hyper Beam as the second charged move.
Unfortunately, while it’s a reasonable moveset, applying both fast moves and shield pressure, it just doesn’t have the stats to be worthwhile in Great, Ultra, or Master League. . For example, despite being resistant to ground-type attacks, it still loses decisively to Galarian Stunfisk in Ultra League – a Pokemon that simply dominates the meta.
Likewise, it falls back on Dialga and Metagross in the Master League, and Azumarill and Medicham in the Great League. Unfezant is just bad.
However, if you are determined to make it work, a “perfect Go Battle League IV” Unfezant, you should look for Unfezant 0/15/14 for Great League and Unfezant 2/15/13 for Ultra League.

Is there a Shiny Pidove in Pokémon Go?
Finally some good news for bird Pokemon lovers – there is a shiny Pidove in Pokémon Go and for a long time!
The shiny form of Pidove was released on the game’s 4th anniversary, July 3, 2020; if you catch one, you can turn it into a shiny Tranquill and, possibly, a shiny Unfezant.
If luck is on your side, you may find a Shiny Pidove in the wild, but be aware that this is not a community day and shine rates are not increased, so the chances of it catching one, let alone a perfect one, are very low. . That said, every Pidove you see has the potential to be shiny, so it’s purely a numbers game – hit each one and see what you get. Good luck finding the Pidove you need!
What Does Shiny Pidove Look Like?
As you can see, Shiny Pidove looks fairy-like, with just the eyes changing color and the feathers getting slightly darker.
That said, the evolutions are fantastic, with Tranquill taking on a nice bright green hue, and Unfezant taking on a slightly lighter tone with nice purple facial feathers.

Besides trying to catch a Shiny Pidove in Pokémon Go, there are a few other good reasons to participate in this week’s Spotlight Hour:
- The best reason is, of course, the double bonus evolution XP run all the time. This gives you the opportunity to collect a lot of XP very quickly, which allows you to increase your trainer level. The best way to do this is to have two Tag in your dedicated Pokémon storages at that time. The first is items you want to evolve and keep – usually powerful Pokemon and Pokemon you need to evolve to update your Pokédex – and items you want to evolve and transfer. - If you’re a newcomer, this Spotlight Hour is the perfect time to collect enough Pidove Candy to fully evolve this Pokémon and enter all of its evolutions into the Pokédex.
