The next Team of the Week squad will be available soon, with top performers in recent matches receiving a new Ultimate Team card in EA Sports FC 24 and a rating boost. If you’re wondering who could make the TOTW 18 team, we analyzed the latest matches from last week to find the most notable players who could receive an upgraded card.
One of the highest-rated squad cards of Week 18 could go to Manchester City superstar Kevin De Bruyne. The Belgian midfield wizard, who until recently was out for five months due to injury, came off the bench for the reigning Premier League champions as they trailed 2-1 against Newcastle United. De Bruyne’s substitution in the 69th minute was a game-changer for Pep Guardiola’s side. The 32-year-old scored the equalizer, then had an assist in added time, as City turned the game around in spectacular fashion to win 3-2 at St James’ Park.
De Bruyne currently has an overall rating of 91 in EA FC 24, and if he is included in the Week 18 squad, he could end up having the highest-rated card in the next version of TOTW. Another player who could be rewarded with a highly-rated new card, after a strong performance on the pitch, is Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez. The Argentine scored a brace as the Serie A leaders beat Monza 5-1 at the weekend. As for who else could get a new TOTW card, other standout performers in recent matches include former Manchester City stars Edin Döko and Leroy Sané, as well as PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and Bayern Munich Jamal Musiala.
