You have to solve the Hexagon Shaped Slot Machine Puzzle in Resident Evil 4 to progress through the story in Chapter 2.
To start the puzzle, you will first need to find the Hex Emblem Location and pick it up to use on the hexagon-shaped slot in Resident Evil 4.

Resident Evil 4 Hex Emblem Location
After you collect your gear and leave the abandoned factory in Chapter 2, you’ll encounter the merchant, the pest control request, and a hexagon-shaped slot next to a large locked door.
To get through the door, you’ll need to solve the hexagon-shaped slot machine puzzle with the hexagon emblem.
You will find the hexagonal emblem climb a ladder in the southern valley regionwhich you can access by following the path south of the abandoned factory and the locked door.
Be careful in the valley though, as you have to fight off a large crowd of enemies on your way to the Hex Emblem. To save ammo, you can lure some of them into red barrels and then shoot the barrels to take out multiple enemies at once.
Once you have the hex emblem you will need to open the door by turning a lever up the hill, by a treasure in a box (and more enemies, so be careful).

Now that you have the Hex Emblem, go back to the Hex shaped slot near the Abandoned Factory and insert the Emblem there.
You will then need to rotate and rotate the emblem the right way to match the bird symbol.
The correct solution to the hexagon shaped slot machine puzzle in Resident Evil 4 is to rotate the emblem until the bird is upright and facing the opposite direction of the image behind the emblemSO return it the lower right side is therefore different from the other sides.

Once your emblem matches these images, click “Confirm” to solve the puzzle. A handle will then appear, and you can hold down the action button to turn it and open the door, which leads to a Clockwork Castellan collectible and the village chief’s combination lock puzzle.
