Don't lose your precious footage! If you're stuck, we can help Connections response for today, January 27.
If you haven't played it before, Connections challenges you to sort a group of 16 words into four groups where all the words are well… connected. This connection could come from them sharing a similar meaning, being part of a place name, objects found in a kitchen or anything really!
While it may seem easy, the connection groups each have a different difficulty level – yellow being the easiest and purple being the hardest. For this reason, train Today's Login Response could be rather tricky. You may get one group right away, but another might be a mystery to you. Fortunately, we are here to help!
Originally developed during the annual New York Times Game, the beta version of Connections is released in June 2023. Since then, it has become one of the most popular games that the NYTimes has to offer, beaten only by Wordle. Although some connections were made to the BBC's connection program alone…

Today's links weren't bad for me! I went blue right off the bat, but must have missed two guesses before turning green. After that, however, I gathered yellow and purple without any problems.
What to play after connections?
The obvious answer to this question is Bordle, but, if you've already solved that today, then the New York Times has other games. As for word-based games, the NYTimes has the mini crossword, spelling bee, letter box, and strands, which is still in its beta phase. If you fancy a break from words, you could also try Tiles – a matching pattern game – or Sudoku.
Apart from NYTimes, there is Semantle – where you have to reach the secret word by guessing its meaning. Spelling doesn't matter in Semantle, but you should pay attention to the numerical value that your guesses should plot your way to the answer. However, if you prefer to stick to the connections format, it's worth visiting PuzzGrid. Here you'll find hundreds of connection style puzzles, the twist, however, is that you only have three minutes to solve them.
(You can also only watch Connect on BBC IPlayer…)
If you're in the reading mood, we explained why the NYTimes Mini Crossword is a reliable joy and interviewed Jonathan Knight, head of games for the NYTimes.
Good luck solving today's links!
